Raspberry and Blueberry Porridge and Nuts

Porridge is a great healthy meal whether you’re pregnant or not, and with the twist that this recipe offers you can get the energy burst you might want in the morning.

Ingredients (serves 1)

40g of quick cook oats, ½ pint of semi skimmed milk, 15g of frozen raspberries, 15g of frozen blueberries, 1 tbsp golden syrup, 10g of walnuts

How to make it

  • Simmer the oats and milk in a saucepan, and keep stirring.
  • Once this has been thickened, remove from the heat.
  • Add the berries and allow to stand, then stir them in.
  • Place in a bowl, top with syrup and nuts, and enjoy.
