When Will My Baby...?

Babies learn different things at different times, it is very common for parents to get worried if their baby isn't keeping up with actions or activities as children at the same age as them. We have put together this section on some of the milestones your baby will probably reach during their first year.

Whilst we have provided rough ages at which children normally reach certain milestones, it is important that you remember many healthy children achieve them later. However it is always advisable to seek further advice if you are concerned. It is important tto let your child develop at their own pace without trying to 'force' them to do things faster than they are inclined to do but there are things you can do to encourage certain activities - please take a look at our Communicating with your baby section and the Games and Activities section
