Featured Blogger - Jax Blunt

Thursday 12th of September 2013  |  Category: Opinion  |  Written by: Jax Blunt

So, we’ve started a new series of posts here on the Mum Network Trusted Blogger Club pages; ‘The Featured Blogger’. Each time we’ll take one of our club members, and give you a more detailed introduction to them than you get on our home page. We’re certain it will have you heading over to their personal blog for a mooch, as well as checking out their posts for us here on the club blog. First up was Suzanne Lynch-McKay, and next up, Jax Blunt, who is without doubt the most longstanding and experienced blogger on the ‘’#mntbc block…

When did you start blogging, and what prompted your decision to go ahead?

Back in 2003, a week before my second child was due. I didn’t post much that year ;) A group of us who were internet friends started blogs to keep in touch with each other between meet ups.

Does blogging ‘connect’ to your working life in anyway?

It does now. Partly because of my experience in blogging and supporting blogs, we run our own home based business building websites based on Wordpress.

Tell us about your personal top three posts from your blog….

With ten years of archives to choose from that’s quite difficult!

I love:  Where I’m from This was a meme post, where there were instructions on how to write your own version. Even though they came from instructions, each person’s post was incredibly individual.

Unheard cheerleaders is another one I’m proud of, written after my daughter’s first swimming gala.

And Tired tweeting. What blogging is all about.

What do you look for when reading other blogs?

Some kind of connection with the blogger.

How do your family and friends feel about your blogging habit?

My kids love it (they got a free visit to Harry Potter tour!), most of my friends blog too.

What do you hope your kids will make of the blog one day?

Archives of their lives?

What do you enjoy about being a Trusted Blogger Club member?

Making connections with other bloggers.

You can only write one more post on your own blog; what would the topic be?

Family.

Jax blogs every day on a broad range of topics; she's a great read, and you'll find her at Making It Up - there's a link on our Home page.
